Note: If you have never used a hosting service prior to using Alitu hosting then you will not need to use the importing tool as no episodes will exist to import. You, therefore, do not need to follow this process.
If you already have your podcast episodes hosted somewhere else and you want to import your episodes to Alitu then you can easily do this by using our importing tool.
If you want to use Alitu hosting and import from another hosting service then you will need to choose a hosting plan from your Settings > Manage Hosting tab.
When that’s done, simply paste your current hosting RSS feed in the box inside your Settings > Import Podcast tab. Importing may take a few minutes, depending on the number of episodes and episode file size.
Alitu automatically converts your episode files to MP3 as this is the industry's standard file format.
Important Note: Be sure to grab the most recent analytics for your podcast from your current host before closing your previous account. When you move to Alitu, we won't be able to access the download information from your previous host. Be sure to save this so you will have historical download information.
When the import is done, the next step is setting up the 301 redirect on your previous hosting. Check this 301 redirect article.
Trouble importing?
If you’re having trouble importing your show, validate your RSS feed using Podbase Validator. Amend any errors from the result - it can be artwork size, categories, and other podcast details.
We based all our podcast categories on Apple Podcasts categories.
Please reach out using the chat box at the bottom of this page if you have any questions about using Alitu. We're happy to help!
