Video Editing in Alitu

How to add video to your episode, preview it in Episode Builder, and generate the finished video from the publish page.

Video Editing in Alitu

You can build a video version of your episode inside Alitu. This works whether you upload your own video files, or record a call in Alitu using Audio & video mode.

Start with video

There are two main ways to create a video episode in Alitu:

  1. Upload a video file into your episode or library.

  2. Record a call inside Alitu and choose Audio & video before entering the recording studio.

When you choose Audio & video, Alitu captures both your audio and your webcam video as part of the recording.

Preview video in Episode Builder

Open your episode in Episode Builder and switch on Video Mode at the bottom left of the page. This lets you preview how your finished video will look while you arrange your content.

If a section of your episode is audio only, Alitu uses the episode artwork for that section. If your episode does not have its own artwork, Alitu uses your show artwork instead.

Generate the video from the publish page

When your episode is ready, go to the publish page. In the Download section you can choose Download as video to generate the video file for the episode.

This creates a finished video version of your episode, ready to download and use wherever you want to publish it.

Summary

To make a video episode in Alitu, either upload video or record a call in Audio & video mode, switch on Video Mode in Episode Builder to preview it, and then use Download as video on the publish page to generate the final file.
