If you transferred your show from one host to another or something’s changed with your RSS feed, creating a 301 redirect usually takes care of that. The 301 redirect acts as a change of address for your show in the podcast directories. Most directories support redirects but there are some that might require manual updating.
Note: If you have created a 301 redirect, please wait to see if your feed updates in the directories automatically before re-submitting your show manually to avoid duplicates and confusion for your listeners.
Updating an RSS feed on Apple Podcasts
Login to your Apple Podcasts Connect
Select Podcasts.
Select the podcast you want to update.
Select Edit next to the RSS feed URL.
Enter the new RSS feed URL and click Save.
Allow up to 24 hours for the podcast to be updated to the new RSS feed URL.
Updating an RSS feed on Spotify
Login to Spotify for Podcasters and click the podcast you want to update
Go to the Settings tab
Click the Update button.
Enter your new Alitu RSS feed in the ‘Link to RSS feed’ section
Confirm your hosting provider and then hit SUBMIT.
