How do I submit my podcast to YouTube?

Are you moving from another host to Alitu? If so, DO NOT submit your podcast to directories again as this will result in duplicate entries. See how to set up a 301 redirect instead.

Submitting your podcast to YouTube is super easy with your Alitu RSS feed. Follow these easy steps:

1. Copy your Alitu RSS feed from your Distribution tab.

2. Go to YouTube and login or sign up if you don't have an account yet.

3. Click the 'Create' button on the right side of your YouTube dashboard then choose 'New Podcast'.

4. Click 'Submit RSS feed' from the pop-up window.

Be sure to read the 'How it works' info and then hit 'Next'.

5. Enter your Alitu RSS feed then click the 'Send code' button. Check for the code emailed to your podcast email. Enter the code and click 'Verify'.

6. Choose the upload option you want to go with: Upload all episodes from the RSS feed, Upload episodes published since, or Do not upload any old episodes.

Choose the your setting for paid promotion. Click 'Next' then hit 'Save'.

It will take some time to upload the selected episodes. When it finished pulling all the details, you can start making updates.

7. By default, all episodes are set as private after the import so you'll have to manually publish them. Check your podcast and episode details to make sure everything was imported properly and then make the episodes public.

8. When you're done and everything looks good, set the podcast to 'public' and hit 'save'.

That's it. You just submitted your podcast to the bigger YouTube audience.
